Municipal Courts 

In Wood County, there are two municipal or city courts.  These Courts deal with citations, (such as traffic citations), issued by city police officers or other violations of a specific City Ordinance approved by a city council.  If found guilty or pleading guilty to these citations, you will be directed to pay a fine.  Each city also has a Municipal Court Clerk to keep record and collect those fines.  The following municipal courts function in Wood County:

·        Parkersburg City Court – William V. Crichton, IV, City Judge

Located in the Parkersburg City Building, #1 Government Square, Parkersburg, WV

·        Vienna City Court – Thomas Zimmerman, City Judge

Located in the Vienna City Building, 34^th Street, Vienna, WV

Municipal judges are appointed by the mayor of the City and approved by City Council.
